Recognizes and rewards academic achievement in high school equivalency programs and provides incentive for mature students to continue to post-secondary education. Applications open August 1; deadline is January 15. Funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. Up to 200 awards available annually.
Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person; Alberta resident; out of high school for a minimum of 3 years before starting equivalency program; completed an Alberta high school equivalency program with 80%+ average (or GPA 3.0+); currently enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution; must have a signed nomination from the head of the institution where equivalency was completed.
Submit completed application form, official transcript of high school equivalency program, and nomination letter from institution head where equivalency was completed. Transcript must have official signature or seal.
