The Airgas-Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of Terry Jarvis by supporting undergraduate students pursuing welding engineering degrees with a $2,500 annual award. Priority is given to students in the southeastern United States with an interest in industrial gas or welding equipment distribution. The scholarship is administered through the AWS Foundation's national scholarship program.
Open to U.S. or Canadian citizens who are undergraduate students at least 18 years old and pursuing a four-year degree in welding engineering or welding engineering technology. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in engineering courses.
Priority is given to students residing or attending school in Alabama, Georgia, or Florida and to those interested in careers with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. Official transcripts and two letters of recommendation are required.
