The Praxair International Scholarship was established through the AWS Foundation to support students demonstrating leadership abilities and pursuing careers in welding engineering. One award of $2,500 is available annually through the AWS national scholarship program. The scholarship reflects Praxair's long-standing commitment to advancing the welding profession through education.
Open to full-time students who are U.S. or Canadian citizens pursuing a minimum four-year bachelor's degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET) at an institution in the U.S. or Canada. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation along with official transcripts and the standard AWS online scholarship application. Priority is given to welding engineering (WE) students and those demonstrating financial need.
