Post PhD Research Grant

The Wenner-Gren Foundation Post-PhD Research Grant provides up to $25,000 to support anthropological research by early- and mid-career scholars who hold doctoral degrees. The grant is designed to fund distinct phases of original research with no limit on project duration. Two annual deadlines allow researchers to align funding with their project timelines.

Open to scholars of any nationality or institutional affiliation who hold a doctoral degree in anthropology or a related field at the time of application.

Submit a research proposal through the Wenner-Gren Foundation online portal by May 1 (for projects starting January-June of the following year) or November 1 (for projects starting July-December). There is no restriction on grant duration.
