Skills Ontario Scholarship

The Gail Smyth Skills Ontario Scholarship awards $1,000 to Ontario students entering post-secondary education in the skilled trades and technologies who have demonstrated excellence at the Skills Ontario provincial competition.

Must have earned high school credits during the current school year and will graduate in spring, summer, or fall 2026. Must have received a bronze, silver, or gold medal at the 2026 Skills Ontario provincial competition. Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, Ontario resident.

Apply through the Skills Ontario website (skillsontario.com). Submit proof of competition result, academic transcripts, proof of acceptance to a post-secondary program, and a personal statement.
