About

An annual $10,000 prize for the best essay on the link between media and democracy, honouring the memory of Dalton Camp. Launched in 2002. A separate $2,500 Student Prize is available for post-secondary students.

Eligibility

Any Canadian citizen or permanent resident, regardless of age, student or professional status; post-secondary students also eligible for a separate $2,500 Student Prize.

Requirements

Submit an original essay up to 2,000 words in English on the topic of media and democracy; essays judged anonymously on subject matter and strength of written expression.
