About

A $2,000 scholarship recognizing first-generation NSHSS members who are the first in their families to attend college. Established to honor students for their academic and leadership initiatives despite unique first-generation challenges.

Eligibility

NSHSS members who are first-generation college students (high school senior through college junior); neither parent must have earned a four-year college degree.

Requirements

Submit a 500–800 word essay addressing challenges faced as a first-generation student and how you overcame them; login to NSHSS member dashboard to apply.
