The AIST Foundation Steel Intern Scholarship Premier is the most prestigious of up to 50 Steel Intern Scholarships awarded annually, recognizing the top-scoring applicant with a one-year $12,000 scholarship paired with a paid summer internship. The broader Steel Intern Scholarship program awards $7,500 to each of the other selected recipients. The Premier award highlights excellence in technical education and commitment to the steel industry.
Open to U.S., Canadian, or Mexican citizens enrolled full-time as sophomores or juniors in a four-year undergraduate or graduate program in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, environmental/sustainability science, or industrial safety at a North American university.
