eQuality Scholarships for Medical Students

The eQuality Scholarships for Medical Students awards one scholarship of $6,000 annually to a medical student pursuing a health professional degree in northern or central California who has demonstrated significant service to the LGBT+ community. The program is administered by the volunteer-run eQuality Scholarship Collaborative. It aims to increase the number of LGBT+-affirming health care providers. Applications open each fall.

Open to students enrolled in or accepted to an accredited medical or graduate school in northern or central California who are pursuing an MD, DO, DNP, or MPA degree and who have demonstrated service to the LGBT+ community. Applicants must be in good academic standing.

Applicants must submit an online application demonstrating LGBT+ community service, leadership, academic achievement, and financial circumstances. The scholarship may only be used at accredited medical schools in northern or central California. Applications are reviewed by a volunteer committee.
