The Harker/Cameron Women in Water Scholarship is awarded to the highest-ranked female applicant among the CWRA scholarship pool who has not already received a higher-ranked CWRA award. It honors the legacy of Jennifer Harker and Valerie Cameron and their contributions to water resources in Canada. The award aims to encourage and support women pursuing careers in the water sector. It is part of CWRA's suite of six annual graduate scholarships.
Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who self-identify as a woman, are enrolled full-time in graduate studies at a Canadian institution in both fall and winter terms, and whose research focuses on applied, natural, or social science aspects of water resources.
Applicants must self-identify as a woman on the unified CWRA application and have their application endorsed and submitted through their department by January 31 at 11:59 PM PST. Selection criteria include academic excellence, research relevance, and equity and diversity considerations.
