eQuality Scholarships for Community College Transfer Students

The eQuality Scholarships for Community College Transfer Students supports LGBT+-allied students making the transition from community college to a four-year institution. Each year, one or more scholarships of $6,000 are awarded to assist with undergraduate educational expenses. The program is run entirely by volunteers and focuses on rewarding service to the LGBT+ community. Applications are accepted annually beginning in the fall.

Open to residents of northern or central California (or community college students in the region) who have demonstrated service to the LGBT+ community and plan to attend or have recently begun attending an accredited four-year college or university for the first time. Applicants of all sexual orientations and gender identities may apply.

Applicants must complete an online application demonstrating LGBT+ community service, leadership, financial need, and academic achievement. Each application is reviewed by at least 10 volunteers and scored on defined selection criteria. The scholarship may only be used at accredited institutions.
