The Fraser W. Lockwood Memorial Scholarship awards a minimum of $2,500 directly applied to tuition for a graduating Calgary high school student entering post-secondary education. The scholarship is renewable for up to three consecutive years of full-time study. It is administered by the Calgary Foundation and reflects a strong commitment to community service and the Filipino-Canadian community.
Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are graduating Grade 12 students from a Calgary Board of Education (CBE) or Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) school. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be entering first-year full-time undergraduate studies at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
Applicants must show community involvement through volunteering with church, community organizations, athletics, or cultural/political activities. Preference is given to students with a family connection to the Filipino community.
