The Canada Iceland Foundation Inc. administers several annual scholarship programs supporting students with ties to the Canadian Icelandic community, particularly in Manitoba. Awards include the Canada Iceland Foundation Scholarships ($1,000 each) for general academic excellence or financial need, and the Margaret Breckman Mack Scholarship ($500) for nursing students at the University of Manitoba. The foundation preserves and promotes Icelandic cultural heritage in Canada.
Open to students of Canadian or Icelandic heritage, or those with demonstrated connections to the Icelandic-Canadian community. Specific scholarships within the program target students enrolled at the University of Manitoba, including those in nursing or Icelandic Language and Literature. Financial need and academic merit are both considered.
Applicants must submit photocopies of final-year high school or university course marks and two letters of reference, one of which must be from an educator. Applications are submitted to the Canada Iceland Foundation by September 30.
Most students miss 2659+ scholarships they actually qualify for — don't be one of them.
