The Gilbreth Memorial Fellowship is a prestigious IISE award honoring Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, pioneers of industrial engineering and scientific management. It supports graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in ISE with a fellowship of up to $3,500. Multiple fellowships are awarded annually to recognize exceptional graduate-level scholarship. The program opens for nominations each September.
Awarded to graduate ISE students enrolled in an accredited program in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico with a graduation date of May 2027 or later. Applicants must be active IISE members enrolled full-time with a minimum 3.4 GPA. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominations are open September 15-November 15; nominated candidates submit a complete application by February 1 including transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose. Selection is based on academic excellence and leadership.
