Emily and George Severinghaus Beck Education Abroad Scholarship

The Emily and George Severinghaus Beck Education Abroad Scholarship supports Ohio State students studying Yiddish language and Jewish culture abroad by providing up to $3,000 per award. Up to two students per year receive funding to offset the costs of participating in an approved international Yiddish studies program. The scholarship is administered by the Melton Center for Jewish Studies at OSU.

Open to Ohio State University students who are accepted to a Yiddish language or Jewish Studies study-abroad program. Priority is given to students demonstrating financial need.

Applicants must have an approved Yiddish study-abroad program and OSU travel approval. Awards are contingent on acceptance to the academic program and OSU's student travel approval for international programs.
