The ASHS Scholars Award presents two annual scholarships of $1,500 each to outstanding undergraduate horticulture students at U.S. four-year institutions. Recipients are selected based on scholastic achievement in their major and supporting sciences, along with demonstrated leadership and research engagement. Award notification is given in approximately May, and funds are designated for educational purposes.
Open to full-time undergraduate students of any class standing who are pursuing a degree in horticulture at an accredited four-year institution. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and active participation in horticulture-related extracurricular, leadership, and research activities.
Applicants must be nominated by their department chair or head, with only one nominee permitted per department. A nomination letter, transcripts, and supporting materials describing leadership and research involvement must be submitted by February 4.
Most students miss 2659+ scholarships they actually qualify for — don't be one of them.
