The Ken Thomson Scholarship is one of six annual scholarships offered by CWRA to support Canadian graduate students in water resources. It awards $2,000 to the highest-ranked candidate not already receiving a higher-ranked CWRA award. The scholarship honors the memory of Ken Thomson and his contributions to the Canadian water sector. A single application is used for all CWRA scholarship competitions.
Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in a graduate program at a Canadian university or college in both fall and winter terms of the academic year. Applicants' research must focus on applied, natural, or social science aspects of water resources.
One application covers all CWRA scholarships; applicants must have their application endorsed and submitted through their department or university. Supporting documents must be submitted by the January 31 deadline at 11:59 PM PST. Notification is provided to all applicants before March 31.
