The Applegate-Jackson-Parks Future Teacher Scholarship awards $1,000 annually to one education student who best exemplifies commitment to excellence in teaching and Right to Work values. The award is named in honor of three educators who exemplified those values in their careers. The scholarship is administered by the National Institute for Labor Relations Research.
Open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a U.S. institution with a declared major in education, as well as current teachers pursuing advanced degrees. High school students and undergraduates without a declared education major are not eligible.
Applicants must submit an essay demonstrating dedication to Right to Work principles and the high professional standards of Carol Applegate, Kay Jackson, and Dr. Anne Parks. The essay is the primary selection criterion.
