The GCSAA Scholars Competition awards scholarships ranging from $500 to $6,000 to students in golf and turfgrass management programs. The top award, the Mendenhall Award, grants $6,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. The competition is open to GCSAA student members and supports future golf course superintendents and turfgrass professionals.
Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in a two-year or more accredited program related to golf or turfgrass management, have completed at least 24 credit hours in such a program, and be GCSAA student members. Seniors graduating before the deadline are ineligible.
Submit an application through the GCSAA scholarship portal by June 1. Applications are evaluated on academic achievement, GCSAA involvement, and career goals in golf course management.
