Lemmermann Foundation Fellowship Award for Research in Rome

The Lemmermann Foundation Fellowship Award supports master's and doctoral researchers conducting humanistic studies related to Rome and Roman culture, with a monthly stipend of €750 for one to six months. The fellowship requires residency in Rome during the research period and is open to international scholars affiliated with recognized academic institutions. Students from Lazio may be eligible for a one-time research grant of €500 instead.

Open to master's students and doctoral candidates studying classical studies and humanities (History, History of Art, Archaeology, Italian, Latin, Musicology, Philosophy, Philology, etc.) whose research relates to the humanistic aspects of Rome and Roman culture. Applicants must have basic knowledge of Italian. Applicants residing in Lazio are excluded from the standard award.

Submit an application to the Fondazione Lemmermann with a research proposal, proof of enrollment, and language proficiency documentation by March 31. Fellowship duration ranges from one to six months at a monthly stipend.
