Up to 10 scholarships of $5,000 each annually. Supports post-secondary education in any field that benefits the Ontario grain sector or agri-food industry. Up to five awards may go to students in non-agriculture-specific programs.
Permanent Ontario resident entering or currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university for Fall 2026, in any field of study that will benefit the Ontario grain sector or agri-food industry. Employees of Grain Farmers of Ontario and their children are ineligible. Limited to one award per person lifetime.
Submit to scholarship@gfo.ca in Word or PDF format: completed application form, resume (including community involvement), one reference letter from a non-family member in agriculture/agri-food, proof of enrollment, and a 500-1,000 word essay addressing career interest and benefit to the Ontario grain sector. Must certify that AI tools were not used for the essay.
