Annual scholarships for family members of Silver Caduceus Association members (US Army Medical Service Corps officers). Applications open February 1; deadline is May 31. Awards based on academic ability, leadership, community service, and financial need. Program established in 2004; first awarded in 2006. Number of awards varies by available funds.
Must be recommended by an SCA member in good standing (lifetime or 2+ years active membership). Must be related (spouse, child, grandchild, great-grandchild, sibling, or child/grandchild of sibling) to the nominating SCA member. Not limited to high school seniors — college students and adults returning to school are eligible. Members may nominate one applicant every two years; applicants may receive a maximum of two awards.
