The Airgas-Jerry Baker Scholarship provides a $2,500 annual award to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in welding engineering or welding engineering technology. Like the Terry Jarvis scholarship, it gives preference to students in the southeastern United States with an interest in the industrial gas or welding equipment field. The award is administered by the AWS Foundation.
Open to U.S. or Canadian citizens who are undergraduate students at least 18 years old and pursuing a four-year degree in welding engineering or welding engineering technology. Applicants must have a minimum 2.8 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in engineering courses.
Priority is given to students in Alabama, Georgia, or Florida and to those interested in pursuing careers with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor. Official transcripts and two letters of recommendation must be submitted.
Most students miss 2659+ scholarships they actually qualify for — don't be one of them.
