The One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest encourages environmental storytelling by young creators through a tiered prize structure for different age groups. University and grade-12 entrants can win a $1,000 college scholarship plus a $1,000 matching grant; younger participants receive proportionally smaller cash prizes. The contest is affiliated with the One Earth Film Festival, which promotes environmental awareness through cinema.
Open to students from grade 3 through age 25, including university students and recent graduates. Participants from any country may submit films with no entry fee.
Entrants must submit a short film on an environmental theme by 11:59 p.m. CDT on June 25. Films are judged on content, creativity, and environmental messaging; submissions may be in animation, stop-motion, or live action.
Most students miss 2659+ scholarships they actually qualify for — don't be one of them.
