Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship

The Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship honors Frank Greathouse's lasting impact on governmental accounting standards and practice. It awards $10,000 to an accounting student committed to a career in public sector finance. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and the growing importance of strong governmental accounting in public financial management. The 2027 application cycle opens in November 2026.

Open to full-time undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students, enrolled in an accounting program and preparing for a career in state or local government finance. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a personal statement. Undergraduate applicants must be in the process of completing at least their junior year by the time the scholarship is awarded. The application window opens each November.
