The Ulku Ulgur, MD, International Scholar Award provides up to $2,500 to reimburse registration and travel costs for a deserving international child psychiatrist to attend the AACAP Annual Meeting. The award rotates focus by world region biennially, with 2026 awards designated for scholars from Turkey. Named for Dr. Ulku Ulgur, a pioneer in Turkish child psychiatry, the award strengthens global connections in the field.
Open to child psychiatrists or physicians in the international community who have made significant contributions to mental health services for children and adolescents. In even-numbered years (including 2026), awards are given to applicants from Turkey.
Submit an application through AACAP demonstrating contributions to child and adolescent mental health in the international community. Applicants are encouraged to be AACAP members or have membership pending.
