The Digital Responsibility E-waste Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student who demonstrates thoughtful awareness of the environmental and social impacts of electronic waste. The scholarship is designed to raise awareness about the growing problem of discarded electronics and to encourage responsible digital habits. Rolling monthly deadlines throughout the year give students multiple opportunities to apply.
Open to high school, college, graduate, and home-schooled students. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents. There is no age limit or GPA requirement.
Submit a short statement completing the sentence 'The most important reason to care about e-waste is...'. Top 10 finalists are then asked to write a full 500-1,000-word essay on e-waste.
