One or more awards are given to Indigenous undergraduate students from the nine First Nations listed below who are entering or continuing in the following programs: • Certificate in Indigenous Language Proficiency • Certificate in Indigenous Language Revitalization • Diploma in Indigenous Language Revitalization • Bachelor of Education in Indigenous Language Revitalization • Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Language Proficiency Students from the following First Nations are eligible for this award: Songhees, Esquimalt, Tsartlip, Paquachin, Tseycum, Tsawout, Sci’anew, T’Sou-ke and Malahat The award covers actual tuition and mandatory fees assessed in the terms required for completion of an eligible program of study. Undergraduate students registered in a minimum of 3.0 units per term of study are eligible to receive the award. Approval of recipients will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Office of the Vice-President Indigenous.
