$40,000 total ($10,000/year for four years). For Region of Waterloo residents with demonstrated financial need. Highly competitive award covering barriers to higher education.

Eligibility

Residing in Region of Waterloo at offer acceptance. First-year, full-time students beginning fall. Must demonstrate financial need. Renewable for up to four years (five years for five-year programs).

Requirements

Separate application required through LORIS (January 15–May 4). Submit a 500-word statement explaining barriers to higher education, and a completed full-time financial aid application on file by early July. Renewal requires minimum 4.0 GPA (C-), full-time enrollment, and demonstrated financial need.
