About

Up to $40,000 total ($20,000 per academic year) for skilled trades programs. 120 scholarships available across 12 Ontario colleges (10 per college: 5 for certificates, 5 for diplomas). Eligible programs include aviation, construction, electrical, HVAC, manufacturing, mechanical, power engineering, and welding. Renewable by passing each semester and remaining enrolled full-time.

Eligibility

Canadian citizens meeting college admission requirements. Enrolling full-time in first term of an eligible skilled trades one-year certificate or two-year diploma program at Mohawk College starting Fall 2026. Demonstrated financial need and strong work ethic/character (evidenced by one letter of recommendation). Must be willing to serve as a program ambassador.

Requirements

Applications open April 1, 2026. Deadline: May 30, 2026. Apply at mohawkcollege.ca/form/schulich-builders-sch. Provide one letter of recommendation from high school staff, employer, or community organization. High school transcripts reviewed. Top applicants invited for an online interview in June.
