Joyce Family Foundation Bursary

Bursary for first-year Durham College students from Durham Region who graduated from a local high school within the past 3 years. Financial need and resilience required.

Full-time students entering Year One of any program in any Faculty, with preference for those in preparatory programs. Undergraduate level, first post-secondary program. Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons. Resident in Durham Region and graduated from a Durham Region high school within the last three years. Demonstrates financial need and has overcome obstacles and adversity.

Apply through the Durham College financial aid portal. Students must provide a letter of reference from an individual aware of the student's personal circumstances and resilience. Successful applicants must commit to working with a mentor each year throughout their program. Awards are renewable for the maximum length of the program based on full-time enrolment and successful completion of the first year.
