$10,000 per year (renewable). Recognizes exceptional academic achievement alongside personal qualities that reflect Bishop's University's core values.

Eligibility

Final year of full-time high school or CEGEP studies. Citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Minimum cumulative admissions average of 90% in Grade 11 or cumulative CEGEP R-Score of 33. Must apply and be admitted to full-time Bachelor's degree program. Must provide two referee forms, write a maximum 500-word essay, and submit a video of no more than 2 minutes defining intellectual strengths and academic ambitions.

Requirements

Complete the online application for admission via Bishop's University Online Application. Subsequently complete and submit the Michael Goldbloom Excellence Scholarship application with supporting documents. Provide names of two referees (school administrator, teacher, or guidance counsellor) who must complete electronic referee form. Write brief essay (maximum 500 words) on achievements and aspirations. Create video (maximum 2 minutes) defining intellectual strengths and academic ambitions with YouTube or similar link. Deadline: March 1, 2026.
