Eligibility

Must self-identify as First Nations (status or non-status with documentation), Métis (Métis National Council member org citizenship), Inuit (Nunavut Trust Certificate or Inuit roll number), or American Indian/Hawaiian/Alaskan Native (state or federally recognized tribe citizenship); Canadian/US citizens; full-time enrollment in first year of degree

Requirements

Self-declare Indigenous identity during the admissions process. Accepted applicants confirm self-identification and accept fellowship. Award supplements departmental funding — cannot replace core funding. Limited to one GPS recruitment award per degree level.
