Three tiers of automatic admission scholarships based on final admission average: - Western Scholarship of Excellence: $8,000 total ($6,000 first year + $2,000 study abroad component). Awarded to the top 250 applicants by admission average. Out-of-province and international recipients may also receive a $2,000 Travel Grant. - Western Scholarship of Distinction: $3,500 total ($2,500 first year + $1,000 study abroad component). Awarded to students with a final admission average of 92.0%–100.0% (unlimited recipients). - Western Admission Scholarship: $2,500 total ($1,500 first year + $1,000 study abroad component). Awarded to students with a final admission average of 90.0%–91.9% (unlimited recipients). The study abroad component is optional funding for Western-sanctioned international learning experiences, must be used by end of fourth year, and requires a separate application.
Admitted directly from secondary school; full-time enrollment required (minimum 3.5 courses) at main campus. Admission averages are not rounded. Home-schooled applicants and students with prior post-secondary attendance are generally ineligible. Cannot be combined with the National Scholarship Program, Schulich Leader Scholarships, Continue in Canada Admission Scholarship, or Welcome to Canada Admission Scholarship. Non-Ontario/international applicants must submit their application by March 1 to be guaranteed consideration.
No application required. All eligible applicants are automatically considered upon admission. Ontario applicants notified mid-late May; non-Ontario applicants notified prior to their admission deadline. Distinction and Admission Scholarship recipients notified mid-late September via @uwo.ca email.
